At 5:30 am before rush hour with two police blocking out dangerous road Dave seamlessly without any trouble slid that baby through the gate and on to its pad.

Max Cook was my instructor and he was great. He tailored the lesson to my driving skill level.
I have been driving on the open highways but was afraid of smaller roads and had NO experience backing up or parking.
After one day on the open roads (in a lot of Florida heavy rain) we met in a mall parking lot.
He wore me out with excellent instruction and guidance through numerous parking skills. I had to engage all of my brain in new ways. I wasn’t very comfortable using my mirrors for backing up and he got me comfortable using them.
He was extremely pleasant, professional and was very easy to learn from–good teacher!
I enjoyed it and feel so much more comfortable driving our 40′ Dutchstar!J

I want to take a moment and let you know that the past 2 days we spent with Michael Lynch had to be the best option that we added onto our RV!!

I only wish we knew about your school when we first got our Class A Coach. Before taking your class I was driving my 35 foot motorhome guessing if I was going to make the turn without hitting anything and hoping I was in the middle of the lane on he highway. Long story short, I now realize I had no idea what I was doing behind the wheel!!!

Michael is an EXCELLENT instructor who took the time to show me on paper what he was setting up on the pavement. He went through details I had no idea even existed! Now I know what a pivot point is…how to properly set my mirrors, and how to use them when making turns, parking etc.! I now feel confident I can pull up next to a car, wall fence or whatever and be within 2 inches of it without fear of hitting it!!

After this course I now know exactly where I am on the road, and when driving I am not holding my breath when a car car or truck comes up beside me, because I now know where I am in my lane exactly!!

At the end of our class, Michael said he hoped he made me 100% more comfortable driving my RV. I told him he did not. He made me 1000% more comfortable driving this beast down the road! Your class should be MANDATORY for all new RV drivers before they leave the lot.

I recently completed my RV Driving School class (lesson # L12004) with your instructor Darrel Bright.

I really enjoyed the lesson and Darrel’s reassuring and encouraging “style” of driving instruction.

Darrel’s tips and guidance made me feel a lot more comfortable and led to a better learning experience for me.  A learning experience that will help me create the new habits that I need to be a safe RV driver. And less stressful of me 😉

He made the lesson very easy and gave me plenty of time to practice over and over again until I was able to complete each maneuver comfortably.

Please share my feedback with Darrel. And if you have any questions plase let me know.

Thank you,

My wife and I participated in a training session with Mr. Michael Lynch on July 28-29, 2021.  Mr. Lynch is a highly experienced driver of different kinds of vehicles and he understands all the salient issues regarding safety and good driving techniques.  Using a combination of classroom and actual driving he took us through the basics of driving a Class A Motorhome.  His approach was clear and well organized and we rapidly acquired some basic driving skills as well a s skills in spotting each other and giving hand signals.  Mr. Lynch may not be a trained teacher, but his pedagogy was spot on.  He used the latest technology, equipping us with 2-way earphones so he could give us instructions as we drove through obstacle courses.  We recommend Michael Lynch very highly and without reservation.  We can’t imagine getting out on the road without this training even though we are experienced automobile drivers/

My lesson with my instructor, Joann Doane was absolutely a wonderful learning experience for me.  IMG_0815
The first day, I was nervous and scared to get behind our Coachman Leprechaun 27′ due to the fact that I have never driven a vehicle that large. Right from the start, Joann made me feel comfortable and it was reassuring for me to hear from another woman (she owns a 40 footer) that I could and will do it.
I was given the skills and confidence that I needed to sit behind the wheel and drive our RV (Rover is what we named it).
I was given very challenging lessons, especially backing into RV spots which were tight (I always like a good challenge) and boy did I do well, thanks to Joann’s experience and knowledge.
By the end of our first day, I felt confident.  Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t easy at times, but I listened and it came to me naturally after her instructions.
I’ve attached a short video which Joann took.  Living in the Asheville area which our mountains and narrow, winding roads and steep grades I had much to learn.
I strongly recommend Joann, she’s highly professionally and intelligent in what she does.
I am a 67 young year old woman who likes a challenge and likes to learn.  This course was well worth it!

I am so very glad that I listened to Tony Martinez of TRANSWEST Truck Trailer RV in Fountain, Colorado when my husband and I visited with him on July 15th this year. We were thinking of treading in our 42-foot motorhome for something smaller. Tony asked me why and I explained that my husband, Gary could no longer drive it. Tony suggested that I learn to drive it and I said, “no way”! Tony told me about a 90-year-old lady that took your course, and she was able to learn how to drive her motorhome. It got me to thinking that, just maybe, I could learn to drive ours. Tony gave me a flyer and we thanked him for his honesty.

I came home, read the flyer, got on the web site, filled out the application and made an appointment with one of your instructors, Dan Heming to meet July 21 in Buena Vista, Colorado. I made reservations at the KOA so we could spend the night and I am so glad that this has all worked out for us. The two day, 4 hours a day course was just what I needed to get me over being totally intimated. Dan Heming was incredible and very patient with me – he could tell that I was nervous, scared and very inexperienced but he was more than kind, considerate, understanding, and thoughtful. He went over everything in and out of the coach. He stressed safety first and he took the time I needed in order to remember what he was explaining.

I can’t thank you, the RV Driving School, Dan Heming and Tony Martinez enough. I did do it and I am very proud of myself. I feel confident that my husband and I have many more miles to travel together and each of you played a part in making this possible.

With our deep gratitude,

Georgee and Gary D.

Fantastic job performed by Max Cook, I can’t thank him enough. Very well thought out at all levels and great IMG_225433105 delivery of methods.

I think it would be helpful for the driving school to provide or offer some type of  hand out or booklets for reference for students to fall back on after the fact. Something that could be customized to each instructor.
Thanks for the great instruction and teaching.
Best regards,

I just completed my two-day course yesterday in Tappahannock with Trent Taliaferro. Boy, I can’t say enough good things about my two full days and what I learned!
First, I had never been behind the wheel of our 36′ Class A prior to yesterday. Not ever. But, I just felt that I should get comfortable with all of the components and be able to maneuver the RV. I wasn’t at all expecting to be confident, just able to help out in some way should I need to.
When I explained this upon meeting Mr. Taliaferro, his completely calm demeanor and confidence boosted mine! We worked through every conceivable situation including cone training, backing up, turns, lots of road miles — single lane country roads, city driving, interstates, ramps — and I even stopped for gas and pulled up to the pump, which I never expected to be able to do.
At the end of the first day, I drove my husband home. By the second day, I could have driven it by myself if I had wanted and was actually begging to drive!
This decision to take the driving course was absolutely the best decision I could have made for me and my husband. Not only can I now help with the miles, I could completely take over if needed.
Lastly, Mr. Taliaferro has the best attitude and demeanor for instructing. He’s the perfect teacher, because he is so calm and confident. He is knowledgeable and knows the ins and outs of RVs and RV life. He shared some of his experiences that we will take into our RV life for sure. Something as simple as learning how to use hand signals in a way that makes more sense was so helpful and unexpected.
I couldn’t be more pleased and have shared my experience on the Tiffin Owners website. It’s amazing to see the amount of women who said, “I’ve always wanted to do that.” My words to them are, “Do it and don’t wait”, along with a link to your RV Driving School.
Best,

Shelley G.
