I took the RV driving lesson (L13645) with Jimmie Johnson in Florence Alabama. My wife was also present as an observer. It was an excellent lesson that exceeded my expectations. Mr. Johnson had great pointers on proper frame of mind, planning for trips, parking, turns in tight spaces, driving through sharp curves, driving on small roads, and highways. He explained how the manual shifting worked on our motorhome which I didn’t know existed or how to use. He gave great pointers on driving on hills/mountain roads and particularly on coming down hills safely. We discussed driving in bad weather and difficult areas such as construction zones. We even practiced driving through a tight traffic circle.I feel more comfortable driving now and I believe my wife is more comfortable also. I took away lessons on which to practice and slowly increase my driving proficiency.Mr. Johnson was a terrific instructor and I would recommend him to anyone. This course should be required for all motorhome drivers.Thank you.

Hi George! I’m not sure John (spoke with him yesterday) passed on our “review”, but Matt was quite helpful and efficient in teaching us how to do things driving our Bambi. He was patient, treated us individually based on our needs &/or skill set, and provided many helpful tips!! He was phenomenal! Thanks for “letting” him help us!

My instructor Bill A. Did a good job giving me clear instructions that covered all the driving basics, turns and different road conditions that I might encounter driving our truck and 5th wheel. He reviewed road safety and what I would need to do in an emergency if there was a blown tire or obstacle in the road. After driving quite a distance over various road conditions, making turns and getting out of tight gas stations and parking lots, I feel comfortable and confident that I can now drive our truck and fifth wheel to give my husband a break driving.
Thank you Bill!

My wife and I completed a 2 day driving lesson with Jimmy Johnson in Alabama and we have to say, it was the best investment in time and money since we bought our new RV! Jimmy was fantastic, a clear communicator and definitely put us at ease with our ability to drive and handle our new Class A Motorhome.Regards,

I was very pleased with Louis as the instructor. He was highly experienced professional, friendly, knows his stuff and gave very good and sound advice. Do definitely have a better idea of driving and how the camper works. I am a total newbie to this world and getting better. On aside, it is my opinion, every person who buys an RV should take driving classes. And it is incumbent on the dealers not to just sell an RV but to recommend driving lessons.I will recommend your school to RV owners.

My husband and I got a backing lesson (L13649) from Steve Medlin Sunday, August 21, 2022 with our pop-up camper. We couldn’t be happier with the results. After the lesson we went to a different parking lot and practiced a little bit more. Then, we took our pop-up to our storage site (it’s a tight fit) and were able to get the camper in the spot with minimal effort! Four days later we took it out again to practice in a parking lot, then took it back to storage…even better results! We’re really happy with the lesson. Steve was very friendly, professional, informational, and patient! We are now excited to get to a campsite and practice there (and actually stay and camp!). I’m glad I saw the signs for your school while you were in Lincoln. The timing couldn’t have been better for us!

I had a wonderful two day experience with RV Driving School! The information gained in the classroom session was invaluable. I never thought that I would need to know so much about my coach in order to be safer in it. Your humorous stories regarding safety made the hours in the classroom session fly by!
My driving session with Clyde was also great! He put me at ease, was very positive, and instilled a great deal of confidence in my abilities. The more I drove the more confidence I gained.
He provided experiences with many types of roadways including the freeway. He remained calm and patient even as I faced an on coming semi which was in my lane as the truck began passing cars on a two lane road!
After participating in your driving school I feel much better about helping with the driving on long journeys.
Thank you for the opportunity to become a confident RV driver!

We recently had our RV training with Mr. Dana Baker. All went well with no incidents!! Yeah!He made my daughter and I feel most comfortable both towing and backing up our 5th wheel. While we’re familiar with towing a vehicle, we’ve always only towed a bumper-pull and only half the size of our 5th wheel in both length and height! Needless to say, there was some apprehension and we’re so very thankful we took the class.Dana insisted that we document any comments, whether positive or negative. We only have positive comments. He gave us a thorough overview of what to expect, asked what our expectations were, and delivered on them. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering RV driving training.Thank you for your program and thank you for hiring an awesome instructor. Thanks again!

Mr. Mayleben,
I was very happy that our library decided to contract with you in training us to drive our new bookmobile. The training I received reminded me a lot of when I took driver lessons 40+ years ago. I didn’t know what to expect with the training but I came away with a better feel for the RV and its maneuverability. I have a better understanding of its capabilities and mine now that I’ve been trained. Our trainer, Emory Macy, seemed very knowledgeable about our vehicle and the maintenance required to keep it in good running condition. He seemed to have plenty of experience driving RV’s and semis. He went over engine maintenance and our responsibilities for checking the engine, several times over our 3 days with him. He not only taught us how to fill up the truck with diesel and DEF but covered truck stop etiquette and how to wait your turn at the pump. He managed to fit in time for us to have the truck weighed on a scale so that we can re-weigh it after it is filled with materials.I learned a lot from Emory during my behind-the-wheel training. He talks a lot and I’m not sure if that was intentional or not but I was able to hear things that were important to operating the bookmobile. He was instrumental in teaching me what to look for at potential bookmobile stops: flat terrain, space to fit the bookmobile with the doors accessible, easy departure both forward and backward. I feel confident that I could make an informed decision on where to safely park the bookmobile now. Safety was always his primary concern. We added safety vests and flashlights to our cab with his recommendations. We’ll always back up with a spotter helping direct the driver in the mirrors.I don’t have a photo but someone in our organization has some. Thanks so much for the training,Lisa
